Examples

Question Dates Answer
Days until Christmas 5 Nov to 25 Dec 2026 50 days
A one-month notice period 5 Nov to 4 Dec 2026, end date included 30 days, 22 weekdays
Length of a Schengen trip 1 to 14 Jun 2026, end date included 14 days

For Schengen visits, entry and exit days both count, so always include the end date, or use the Schengen 90/180 calculator.

Working days and bank holidays

Weekdays here are Monday to Friday and don’t exclude bank holidays. In England and Wales there are usually 8 bank holidays a year, so subtract any that fall in your range for an exact count of working days.
