What it checks
| Check | Example |
|---|---|
| Format | Missing @, spaces, double dots |
| Domain typos | gmial.com → gmail.com, hotmail.con → hotmail.com |
| Duplicates | The same address in different capitals |
| Disposable services | Temporary inboxes like mailinator.com |
| Role addresses | info@ or sales@: valid but shared |
What it can’t check
A correctly formatted address may still not exist. The only reliable way to confirm a mailbox is to send to it, ideally with a confirmation link (double opt-in). This tool doesn’t contact any mail server, so nothing is sent and your list stays private.
Why clean your list?
- Bounces from bad addresses hurt your sender reputation.
- Typos mean customers miss order confirmations.
- Gmail and Yahoo expect bulk senders to keep complaint and bounce rates low.
Frequently asked questions
Can this tell if an email address exists?
No. It checks format and common mistakes; only sending an email confirms a mailbox.
Is a role address like info@ bad?
It’s valid, but shared inboxes are less engaged and some services discourage mailing them.
Can I check a whole list?
Yes, paste one per line or separate them with commas.
Is my list uploaded?
No, it’s checked in your browser.
