Why other counters get it wrong
A plain character counter counts a 60-character link as 60, but X shortens every link and counts it as 23. Emoji and many non-Latin scripts count double. This tool applies the same weighting as X’s own text library.
Tips for short posts
- Cut filler words and use numbers instead of words.
- Put the link at the end.
- Use a thread for longer ideas.
