Type a link or text and download a QR code as a PNG image. These are static QR codes: the content is stored in the code itself, so they never expire, there’s no sign-up, and scans aren’t tracked or redirected through anyone else’s server.

How to use it
- Paste a link (include https://) or type any text.
- Choose a size: 512 px is fine for screens and small print; use 1024 px for posters and packaging.
- Pick error correction. Medium suits most uses; choose High if the code will be printed small, outdoors or on curved surfaces.
- Download the PNG and scan it with your phone before you print.
Useful things to encode
| Purpose | Type this |
|---|---|
| Website or menu | https://example.com/menu |
| Wi-Fi login | WIFI:T:WPA;S:CafeGuest;P:coffee2026;; |
mailto:hello@example.com |
|
| Phone call | tel:+447700900123 |
| Campaign tracking | A UTM-tagged link from the UTM builder |
Tag printed QR links with UTMs (for example utm_medium=qr) so you can see in GA4 how many people scanned your flyer or poster.
Printing tips
- Size: at least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning; roughly a tenth of the scanning distance for posters (a code read from 2 m away should be about 20 cm wide).
- Contrast: dark code on a light background. Light-on-dark codes fail on many phones.
- Quiet zone: keep the white border around the code; the download includes one.
- Shorter is better: long links make dense codes that are harder to scan. Use a short page URL where you can.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They’re static codes with the content inside them, so they work for as long as the link or text they contain is valid.
Can I track how many people scan my QR code?
Not from the code itself. Add UTM parameters to the link and the visits will show in Google Analytics.
Is it free for commercial use?
Yes. Use the codes on menus, packaging, ads or anything else.
