What to check before posting
- The first line: on mobile, long posts are cut after a few lines, roughly 125 characters, so lead with your hook.
- The image: link images display at about 1.91:1, so use 1200 × 630 pixels and keep text away from the edges.
- The link card: the headline and description come from the page’s Open Graph tags.
Fixing a wrong link preview
If Facebook shows the wrong image or title for your link, update the page’s og:title, og:description and og:image tags, then use Meta’s Sharing Debugger to refresh the cached preview.
| Open Graph tag | Controls |
|---|---|
| og:title | Link headline |
| og:description | Text under the headline |
| og:image | Link image (1200 × 630 recommended) |
| og:url | The address the link points to |
This is an approximate preview for planning. Exact layout varies by device and app version.
