Offsite Ads (if a sale comes from one) 15% or 12% 15% or 12%

Offsite Ads fees are 15% for shops under $10,000 a year in sales (you can opt out) and 12% above that (mandatory), capped at $100 per order.

Worked example

A US shop sells an item for $30 with $5 shipping. Fees are $0.20 listing + $2.28 transaction (6.5% of $35) + $1.30 processing (3% of $35 + $0.25) = $3.78, about 10.8% of the order. With $8 of materials and $5 real shipping, profit is about $18.23.

The same sale in a UK shop at £30 + £5 shipping costs about £4.20 in fees because of the higher processing rate and the regulatory fee.
